This was one of my favorite seminars I attended at this significant conference for all believers/Christian workers held in central Italy. Her premise was that the Bible, as the inspired word of God , is worthy of our efforts to read it well.

 

Our leader (center, in pink) did a wonderful exercise with us where we  focused on a particular passage of Scripture silently, giving thanks to God for it’s content. Then, we recited it silently, only reflecting in our faces our praise for God. Then, we tried to recite the passage aloud again, but inserted words. What a difference it makes to approach God’s word with a heart of thankfulness for it’s content before reading aloud.  Fortunately for me, I was assigned the shortest verse as this seminar was obviously in Italian.
